Rheology of complex fluids is a key research topic in our laboratory. Complex fluids are solutions containing soft matter and fine particles. They are called complex fluids because the flow characteristics become very unique, which is not proportional to the force applied. Such fluids exist in various situations, such as in daily necessities, foods, various fluids used in industry, and fluids in our bodies, such as blood and tears. Our research projects include fundamental research to elucidate the flow characteristics of complex fluids and applied research to solve problems in society by using complex fluids. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our research or if you would like to collaborate with us. Laboratory tours are also available at any time.
